VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

What is required to volunteer at Delhi Unified School District?

Delhi Unified School District welcomes parents, students, as well as members of our local community to volunteer. Follow the steps below to become a volunteer. Please note that volunteer clearance can take more than 30 days. You will be required to have your fingerprints and tuberculosis test results on file at the Human Resources Department. Individuals are not allowed to begin a volunteer school assignment until you have been cleared by the Human Resources Department.

Note: School volunteers, like all campus guests, are required to sign in at the school office upon entering the school premises and sign out when they exit the campus.

Below are the steps to be cleared to volunteer:

STEP 1: You may download a volunteer application from this page or pick up a volunteer application from a school site office.

STEP 2: Return the completed form to your student’s school office for Principal approval.

STEP 3: Human Resources will contact you to arrange a time to come in to complete a fingerprint form and take a copy of your Driver's License. You will also need to bring proof of a negative TB test.

  • TB test within 60 days, per Ed Code 49406.

  • OR you may submit a TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire (You can obtain this from your physician)

There is a fee associated with fingerprinting. We will reimburse you up to $25 via check in U.S. postal mail if you bring us an original receipt.

STEP 4: You will be notified via telephone by Human Resources when your volunteer application has been approved. You will need to come to pick up a Blue Clearance Card to bring to the school site on your first day. School sites will also be notified and will ask you for your Blue Clearance Card on your first day.

You must obtain a Blue Clearance Card issued by the Human Resources Department before you can volunteer at a school site.
